Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center (TEL HI)
www.telhi.orgTelegraph Hill Neighborhood Center (TEL HI), an established neighborhood leader in San Francisco’s northeast District 3, supports over 1,000 people a day through our programs and services for children, youth, families, and seniors. We nurture and build community well-being through recreation, nutrition, education, enrichment, organizing, information sharing, social services, and volunteerism. We provide four “safety-net” programs that serve more than 300 children and youth and support working parents. Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center, founded in 1890, provides opportunities for youth, families, and seniors in the North Beach, Chinatown, and Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhoods to enrich their quality of life. We create and strengthen community bonds and broaden education and cultural experiences. We focus on meeting the needs of our culturally and linguistically diverse residents with services that promote stability for families; build skills, trust, and self-esteem that allow youth to succeed and reach for their dreams; and help seniors remain vital and independent.
