Prehab began in 2001 as the first injury prevention and athletic optimization center of its kind. The center has treated professional, semi-professional and every-day athletes as well as those who are entering sports or starting a new sport. Prehab is at the forefront of research as well as the practice of injury prevention and optimization. Dr. Alex Gometz, who founded Prehab, has co-authored many scholarly articles in journals such as Cureus, Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, and The Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine. Prehab has two locations: NYC/Manhattan and San Diego and is currently expanding its Prehab Run Club virtually (www.prehabrunclub.com).
