Linkam Scientific Instruments Ltd

www.linkam.co.uk

Linkam are passionate about the design and manufacture of stages, electronics and software that can be used with microscopes, spectrometers and diffractometers to enable scientists to analyze and characterize samples in a wide (and constantly growing) range of cutting-edge applications. Linkam develop and manufacture a range of heating and freezing microscope stages for both OEM and end users to visualize and explore materials properties. Used in conjunction with light microscopes, raman, IR and other forms of spectroscopy, Linkam stages are found in thousands of laboratories worldwide with the most successful heating/freezing stage, the THMS600, selling over 3000 units alone. Whilst the heating and freezing microscope stages are the most recognised product range, recent years have seen Linkam diversify greatly and utilise it's design expertise to develop more capabilities for sample characterisation. For example, a collaboration with Prof. Malcolm Mackely at Cambridge University led to the development of the Cambridge Shearing System (CSS450) which enabled rheologists to apply shear stress to their samples and view the changing morphology on a microscope. Linkam are continually innovating and developing new products, working closely with scientists in countries around the world to create novel solutions that help advance scientific discovery.
