The Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health (ACCJH) was founded to advance the science and practice of health care for individuals and populations involved with the justice system. The ACCJH Board of Directors is comprised of key leaders engaged in justice health research, health career training, and clinical care delivery systems. Our vision is to be the academic home for justice health researchers, educators, clinicians, and scholars. The goals of ACCJH are to: ■ Foster networks and interest in criminal justice health for mutual sharing, innovative thinking, and creative problem-solving to move evidence-based practice initiatives into clinical realities. ■ Promote innovative research and support dissemination of best evidence to inform criminal justice health practice through conferences, seminars, workshops, and other learning opportunities. ■ Educate ourselves and the public about evidence-based practice through interagency partnerships within the criminal justice community. ■ Influence behavioral and cultural change within correctional institutions, as well as across health care institutions, to build and retain an understanding of the clinical and policy issues related to best outcomes.
