The Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) e. V. is an institute founded in 2006 as a non-profit association with the aim of promoting science and research in the fields of computer science and business informatics. As a recognized affiliated institute of the University of Leipzig, it conducts independent and application-oriented research on the one hand, and is known for its flexible, problem- and business-oriented approach and for its ability to shape transfer processes between science and industry on the other. For precisely these transfer processes, the InfAI Management GmbH was founded in 2015 as a 100% subsidiary of the institute. Through the GmbH, InfAI is able to provide market-oriented development and consulting services based on innovative research results.
