SP Kehayes, LLC was formed by Stephen Kehayes, who has over 30-years of experience overseeing the successful cleanup and redevelopment of high-profile contaminated brownfield sites throughout the New Jersey. Mr. Kehayes began his career with the NJDEP Site Remediation Program and, more recently, was with the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (previously known as the Brick City Development Corporation), where he managed the City of Newark brownfield program. Mr. Kehayes has been involved in the federal and state brownfield programs since their inception, starting with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection ECRA/ISRA program and eventually becoming one of the senior staff to help form the Office of Brownfield Reuse. He co-authored the abstract that led to the creation of the Office of Brownfield Reuse and managed the state Brownfield Development Area (BDA) program. Mr. Kehayes has long advised both public and private developers on how best to coordinate regulatory compliance with property development activities and have a strong understanding of federal and state remediation processes, liability protections and brownfield funding incentives. He has presented these topics at many state and national conferences and looks forward to applying this experience and accrued skills to the successful completion of your redevelopment project.
