The mission of the Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO) is to support our members through promotion of the specialty of orthodontics dedicated to quality patient care, continuing education, and political advocacy. The SAO was founded in 1921 and currently supports approximately 2,300 members. Our members are solo practitioners, associate in a group, are academic, or work for a corporation. We are a constituent of the American Association of Orthodontists.
