Tanzanian National Parks (TANAPA) is a parastatal Organization that was established in 1959 and is mandated to manage all areas designated as National Parks. Currently, TANAPA manages 22 National Parks covering a total area of 104,578 Km2 which is equivalent to 11% of the total area of the country.
