3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scout Group, based in Old Leigh in Essex, provide adventurous activities and training to boys & girls aged 6-18, and beyond. We are proud holders of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. We work to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. As a RYA Training Centre we deliver Sailing and Power boating. In addition to the Scout awards we deliver the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme as well. We are one of the 106 Sea Scout Groups recognised by the Royal Navy and have affiliation with the Royal British Legion.
