R.F. Tags SA (Pty) Ltd manufactures active and passive RFID readers and tags, gsm’s & radio modems, for use in the mining, manufacturing and service industries from their Pretoria Office. Our passive rfid OREtraK system is used to monitor ore flow from working panels underground to the plant or waste site in most of the gold mines and some platinum mines in SA. Active tag and readers can be made for specific applications according to the needs of the client, including tamper warning, temperature monitoring etc. Tamper proof tags can trigger an alarm or initiate a sms notification when the tag programmed with pre-defined conditions are met. Our high impact active tag remains dormant until an impact event then signals its activation. The Active tag readers are cost effective where multiple readers are required in a single application. Active rfid systems now offer an alternative to the low cost passive tags with their highly expensive passive tag readers.
