Towards International Medical Equity

www.timeuq.org

Towards International Medical Equality (TIME) is a not-for profit, formally registered charitable organisation, targeted for students from the University of Queensland (UQ) who have an interest in global health. Established in 2005, TIME is currently celebrating 15 years of commitment towards the promotion and establishment of equitable healthcare in Australia and abroad. Besides having strong partnerships with professional organisations within Australia and abroad, we pride ourselves on our four project streams: Refugee Health, Indigenous Health, Maternal Health, and International Medical Aid. We are also active in global health advocacy and work in close conjunction with Queensland Global Health Groups from Griffith, Bond and James Cook University as well as AMSA Global Health. Our partners also include Maluk Timor in Timor-Leste and the Royal Australian Flying Doctors. Last but not least, we ensure that global health education is incorporated into the medical curriculum and work alongside UQ Medical Society to provide feedback to the UQ Faculty of Medicine.
