Newton Robotics Inc. was initially formed to design and build custom inspection and survey robots that gather actionable data for owners, engineers and scientists working at manufacturing plants, nuclear power stations, oil and gas production facilities and marine metrology sites. Robots developed by Newton Robotics engineers are custom delivery platforms that enable the precise placement of non-contact, high-resolution optical and laser scanning instruments, in addition to advanced nondestructive evaluation (NDE) phased array ultrasonic and eddy current probes. Newton robotic solutions are designed to operate in air, underwater, or both. Newton Robotics Inc. is a separate entity, but coordinates very closely with sister-company Newton Research Labs Inc., a national and world leader in advanced machine vision technology.
