Stream Monitoring Program: we monitor the ecological health of the Deer Creek and Bear River watersheds. You can find the data we collect here: https://riverdb.org/ Restoration: abandoned mine remediation, salmon habitat restoration, invasive non-native species removal, restoration of native vegetation, geomorphological restoration, and integration of traditional native practices. Rural Health: investigating the Community Health Impacts of Mining Exposure (CHIME) on breast cancer rates in women, and the Tapwater Analysis Project (TAP) to find out if contaminants that may be associated with breast cancer can be found in California drinking water. Science Education: Provide students with a basic understanding of scientific principles through hands-on instruction in our watershed. Create a new generation of environmental stewards through our youth and adult education programs. Services: Application-driven water analysis, forest management plans, water quality analysis, training seminars in: - Data analysis in R for non-profits -Best practices in riparian restoration -Restoration: from project design to implementation and monitoring -Forest Management under Climate Change: Balancing between fire resilience and ecological health in forest fuels management projects
