Knowledgine is an education technology platform that connects professors with learners. Knowledgine focuses on professor tools to automate the process of lecture audio capture, organization, and distribution by using machine learning, crowdsourcing, and natural language processing technologies. This simplified process enables professors and universities to reach broader audiences, drive engagement and enrollment, improve accessibility, and contribute to the betterment of society. Knowledgine is free for professors and universities. Motivation: Every day, professors across the world produce high-quality information consisting of novel perspectives, powerful thoughts, transformative opinions, and meaningful explanations. Concurrently, many individuals seek high-quality content to build their opinions and perspectives, but many are left wanting with the current state of media. Some academic content is capitalized on through MOOCs (“massive open online courses” such as Coursera and EdX) or video sharing platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), but majority of this information is still trapped in university silos. This represents billions of dollars of lost opportunity for universities and professors. This pain is acute for professors who are reliant on outdated content management systems and have no easy means of sharing their knowledge with the world. Our vision is to capture, organize, and share the collective thoughts and ideas of professors around the world, empowering learners and professors by making academic knowledge accessible to everyone.
