In recent years, the translation of biotechnology into socio-economic development has been realized due to the development of products, processes, and services in healthcare, medicine, agriculture, veterinary, environment, energy, and other sectors. It signifies dealing with biological systems at the molecular, cellular, and organic levels to develop technology in terms of either a product or a process. This post-graduate program harnesses the core principles of biotechnology and bioengineering to generate controlled processes or products related to healthcare, biopharmaceutical, industrial and sustained biotechnologies. It covers a broad range of subjects from biochemistry, genomics, proteomics, stem cell technology, nanobiotechnology, biomimetics, bioanalytics, pharmacovigilance, computational biology, systems & synthetic biology. The course structure is designed in consultation with leading researchers, biomedical, clinical, and industrial experts to give a specialized knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in biotechnology. Moreover, the program emphasizes industry exposure, innovation, entrepreneurship, and life skills. The program has a dedicated course on entrepreneurship and innovation as well.
