BCDC is a development company, registered charity and an organisation which supports the regeneration of Ward 17 in North East Glasgow. According to the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation a significant portion of the community are socially and economically deprived and living in the bottom 5%. BCDC is dedicated to improving quality of life for all residents through community development. BCDC owns three buildings, the Recreation Hall - utilised by various groups for activities, the Broomfield Road Centre - home of a boxing and exercise club and a suite of offices, and most notably Barmulloch Residents Centre - a £1.7m development project operating, head office of BCDC and multi-use spaces for activities.
