Driven by an understanding of the deep impact of social connection and support on how people recover from health challenges, our goal is to change how the healthcare system engages with people suffering from chronic pain and opioid use disorder. To do so, we're mobilizing the Peer Support community to integrate social support into a comprehensive biopsychosocial pain care model. Peer Support is powerful, and it is made more effective when people feel empowered to take charge of their health through self-management. Our platform aims to improve communication, promote sustainable behavioral change, and increase opportunities for empathic connection between people dealing with persistent pain.
