A reusable wooden box as a generic building component, for every type of small-scale building, allowing remountable buildings to become architecture. As soon as buildings become modular, movable and reusable, the possibility of an interesting spatiality decreases drastically. Also 'temporality' and 'solid' do not each other meet often. The first designs, however, showed much more advantages than just a nice construction and a warm atmosphere. In the Just in Case building system, there is a different relationship between construction cost, flexibility, efficiency, quality and experience than with a traditional method of building. Sustainability is often only about the expected energy consumption. But how sustainable and reusable are the materials that are used in the house? JUST in CASE is truly making reusable and affordable architecture possible.
