The Vision... Let's say you order a latte at a local coffee shop. You might have a usual or favorite drink, but this time you say to the barista that you are looking for a large latte, strong with caramel, or perhaps “surprise me, but I want X in it." Imagine the same for ordering a resume. You know that you want one, or in some cases you need one, but maybe you will leave it up to someone – the barista – with more knowledge to create that specified resume –drink- for you. "Custom crafting your career path" - Career Café How It Began... Career Café originally began in 2013, by friends and family in need of resumes, or seeking advice on their jobs, or current situation. Word of mouth travels fast though, and with each referral and suggestion, more and more needed advice and assistance. Most of my findings were that those in need of a resume or advice were just not confident in the decision they wanted to make or they questioned their ability to formulate a resume. My background is in Human Resources. I have been personally involved in creating job roles, and new descriptions. I know the hiring process and the systems that input your resumes. I also know the key personnel who make the decision whether or not to move forward with a potential job candidate. I take pride in the work that I do. Innovation, creativity and thinking outside-the-box, along with continuous education, are what drives me. In short, my desire to help others succeed (and my obsession with coffee), I created Career Café, and formally launched in November 2016.
