Sister City initiative between the cities of San Francisco and Barcelona. Promote the connection between both through Economic, Academic, Technological and Cultural expertise. San Francisco and Barcelona exemplify, respectively, the power of cities to function as regional hubs for innovation, leadership, and societal transformation. The goal of this memorandum of Understanding, and the official establishment a sister city relationship, is to father existing collaborative ties between the two cities as well as to cultivate new economic, scientific, and cultural exchanges in future.
