We also travel to schools to open discussions around mental health and increase self-esteem amongst young people. Altruist Enterprises was founded in 2013 by Katie Buckingham, an award winning social entrepreneur with personal experience of mental ill-health. Irritated by the lack of awareness of stress and mental health, Altruist was formed with the vision of achieving 'parity of esteem' between physical and mental health in the workplace.
