Our purpose is to proactively move our region forward to meet community goals while providing for individuals’ basic needs by connecting community members with community resources. United Way of Mower County is not just a fundraiser. We work in close partnership with private businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to pinpoint and address community issues. United Way of Mower County does not fund agencies, we fund programs that directly impact individuals and families in our community. In order to qualify for funding, programs must be operated by a 501(c)(3) organization and fit under one of United Way's four impacts areas: (1) Income (2) Education (3) Health (4) Basic Needs.
