History: 1958: Dr. Riccardo Zane founds “ZANE & C.” which was later incorporated into “ZEC S.p.A.” 1960’s: ZEC invented the ZEC Semiflex disc, the first-ever and world- famous semi flexible abrasive disc on vulcanized fiber. 1970’s: ZEC invented the ZEC Double-Coated disc, the first-ever double coated flexible fiber disc. 1980’s: ZEC invented the ZEC Plastic disc, the first-ever semi flexible abrasive disc made of high performance plastic with built-in support, also known as the “ZEC Wheel” and “ZEC Litex disc”. Over the years, ZEC has made significant technological investments for the automation of the manufacturing process by the installation of specific handling equipment and furthermore, never omitted to achieve steady improvements in the water and air cleaning processes.
