It is an all-volunteer network of artists, business people, and film lovers who seek out Japanese films from every genre, as well as showcase the work of Japanese and Japanese-inspired filmmakers. Society Goals: • To conduct the “The Los Angeles Eiga Festival” which is a festival that showcases Japanese films to the American audience and connects the fans, talent, industry professionals, supporters, and staff of the festival and fosters various opportunities within the industry. • To conduct screening events to showcase Japanese and Japanese influenced films to the American audience • To serve as a platform where Japanese filmmakers can showcase their work in the US and therefore providing them the opportunity to connect with Hollywood • To serve as a platform where non Japanese filmmakers can showcase their Japanese influenced work • To serve as a platform to connect the Japanese and American film industries • To bring together individuals who are passionate about Japanese film • To serve as an information resource for persons who want to learn about Japanese films and screenings, and • To bring support to other film festivals and film making efforts through cross promotion and other means.
