An organisation dedicated to mining lawyers, policy makers and academics whose aim is to facilitate the interaction of our members for the purpose of knowledge sharing and collaboration on ideas relevant to the regulation of the mining industry. The mission of the initiative is to advance our member's knowledge of mineral regulation worldwide through global participation of leading professionals, academics, and policy makers, in order to foster an informed understanding of legal issues relevant to mineral exploration, development and mining; and to interact with our member's in the exchange of ideas and the formation and strengthening of professional relationships. The Initiative is a membership organisation, open to all in the legal profession. WIOML's founders and directors are from North America, South America, Europe (including the UK, France and Portugal), the CIS, Australasia and Africa.
