Fortis Capital is a nonprofit community development company that provides access to capital for BIPOC businesses and businesses in challenged communities in the City of Minneapolis. Created in 2019 with support from Living Cities and the City of Minneapolis, Fortis Capital partners with banks and CDCs to make participation loans to businesses that otherwise would not be able to qualify for the level of credit they need.
