The University of Wisconsin Department of Surgery is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, comprehensive patient-centered care for adult and pediatric patients in Wisconsin and the region. We conduct innovative research while building knowledge and improving surgical care through extramurally funded research programs in basic, translational and clinical science. We train the next generation of academic surgeons through educational programs for medical students, surgical residents and fellows, and provide quality continuing medical education (CME) for surgeons and health care providers in the region.
