The independent Institut for Building Material Quality Assurance is a technology centre specialishing in asphalt and earth road construction. In our laboratory we analysis and development asphalt and bitumen mixtures. As well as providing support for field process optimisation for construction sites, optimisation of asphalt mixing plants and we are carry out building site surveys and ground assessment. We are member of the International Society for Asphalt Petrology (http://asphaltpetrologie.com). For one of the first testing institut in germany we are use modern computer-aided image analysis and preparation techniques to carry out detailed investigations of the material structure and the composition of asphalt and bitumen. We are specialise in providing expert suitability assessments in accordance with the German Water Resources Act (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz or WHG) and are recognised throughout Germany as an expert assessor in accordance with the German Ordinance on Installations for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water. At the first testing institut in Germnay we have been certified by the German Accredition Body (DAkkS) for third-party inspection of asphalt systems in the construction of waste disposal sites, in accordance with DIN ISO 17025.
