AlliedGeeks Consulting
www.alliedgeeks.netThe AlliedGeeks Story Software Development has become an imminent need to engage end users of today’s tech products. From mobile apps to responsive web portals, there is a strong demand for implementing immersive web UIs. While HTML5 solutions are evolving, the supply of Web Application Developers hasn’t caught up. There is also a constant advent of new front-end technologies, libraries and codebases. Large Software Development businesses hire larger team of developers. But how many of these developers can keep pace with the trends and tools? Customers today also vocalize of the lack of accountability demonstrated by their vendors’ software developers. All this is leading to massive project cost overruns thereby losing the competitive advantage offered by Software Vendors. With this idea, the idea of AlliedGeeks was born. Here’s a story which will resonate with several experienced developers, mostly women. After pursuing a successful career in front end application development, I had to take a break and move to consulting engagements. I loved these engagements because they allowed me to work on my own terms, from home, yet take full ownership of the projects I handled. Most of these projects involved front-end application development. Right from Educational projects to Enterprise platforms one thing that was common was that these projects were inherently complex requiring a deeper understanding of the customer needs. The customers themselves demanded very high autonomy from all their developers. Some of these projects involved multi-location, multi-cultural, multi-skilled teams from several countries. Specialties: • Create a mutually beneficial network of Software Development Specialists (Geeks) • Take full ownership of the projects undertaken in available skill areas • Collaborate or operate independently • Work from home but respect commitments • Take up end to end projects or augment to customer teams • Offer competitive rates compared for quality service
