Our mission is to enrich the lives of children touched by autism by giving behavioral therapy centers the opportunity to create new powerful programs that positively effect their students. The humble beginnings of the Ripple Effect are rooted in a passion for surfing. We all saw what joy surfing brought to us and wondered why can't that be the same for children with autism. We did a little research and found we’re not the only ones that feel this way. Thus the Ripple Effect was born. Then we thought, why stop there? If we can enhance the lives of these children for that brief moment they are in the water, what can we do for them when they are out of the water? Therefore we decided to pair our surf camps with fundraising campaigns. In 2014 and 2015 we only ran the campaigns for 3 months and had incredible success. But still we wanted to do more and so we have extended our campaigns to the full fiscal year. At the end of each year we will tally the total funds raised and divide it evenly to the top 5 behavioral therapy centers that we deem the most committed effective. The way we will select and quantify these top 5 centers is through plan proposals. Every center interested in receiving the donation must submit a proposal as to how they will allocate the donation to further benefit their students. We want to make sure that everything we raise is going to the right people for the right reasons.
