Pennsylvania DeMolay is a non-profit youth fraternity that provides excellent team-building and personal growth opportunities for young men ages 12 to 20 who are looking to develop personal organization and leadership skills, and gain public speaking and performance experience. It's well-rounded program includes civis engagement and service learning opportunities, as well as social, athletic and fund-raising activities. The program is youth led, and adult advised, meaning that the youth leaders make all the decisions, and the adults provide a very minimal buffer against failure, allowing the young men to learn from experiences that will not harm them or cause irreparable financial or other hardship. When allowed to do big things, it is amazing what motivated young people can do with minimal direction. There are no employees in Pennsylvania DeMolay-- all are volunteers. Alumni affiliation for Pennsylvania alone would number over 40,000, if tracked, and exceeds 1 million, worldwide, in the 90+ year history of the organization.
