Rebus - Balance the Board
www.odgersberndtson.comWHAT IS REBUS? A bi-annual event & mentoring programme. Proudly curated by the Global Technology & IT Services Practice at Odgers Berndtson alongside our Partners Google and Avanade. We are a technology network forged from a variety of backgrounds, brought together to actively support and champion the progression of diversity within the UK’s Executive and Non-Executive Director (NED) Boards. We aim to; • Instigate change • Drive diversity • Inspire innovation on boards • Challenge the familiar • Encourage talented individuals to achieve their full potential Rebus sessions are entirely informal, inclusive and have a genuine buzz – even on Zoom! MENTORS Our mentors are exceptional leaders, CEO’s and NED’s from the Technology sector, their time is given pro-bono guiding mentees keen to make their own path through Executive Leadership to Non-Executive Director and board advisory. We believe diversity within the board room is essential, positively effecting decisions and outcomes culturally, strategically and financially. FORMAT Covid era: A virtual ‘speed mentoring’ evening with 1-2-1 sessions. Mentees pair with mentors and discuss a range of quickfire topics such as; How to make a positive and genuine impact on a board The fast-paced format offers mentees a unique opportunity to establish chemistry and continue a mentoring relationship beyond the event. All mentees are set up with at least one mentor to begin informal 1-2-1 mentoring sessions. Partnerships from our first sessions are still going today! Non-Covid era: The same impactful speed mentoring but with great venues, free flowing drinks/nibbles and (importantly) good old- fashioned face to face interaction. We can't wait. All mentees are recommendations from the Rebus network. The Global Technology & IT Services Practice at Odgers Berndtson proudly co-ordinates this bi-annual event alongside our Partners.
