Upstage Lung Cancer is a non-profit 501 ( c) (3) organization that began in 2008. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for early detection and innovative treatments of lung cancer. We use musical theater, concerts and programming to accomplish this mission. While we are a young organization, this year, in conjunction with LUNGevity Foundation, we were able to award a 2 year, $600,000 grant to Dr. Rebecca Heist at Massachusetts General Hospital for her work on tumor genetics—a cutting edge approach toward reaching our goals of saving lives.
