George Jackson Academy is a transformative environment – a place for bright boys from all incomes to thrive in a culture of challenging academics, supportive community, and social and moral development. Founded in 2003 to serve academically capable boys from across New York City’s underserved neighborhoods, the school aims to counter ongoing forces that lead promising young men to disengage from school. Families only pay what they can, leaving the school to raise ninety percent of the operating budget each year from donations.
