We began as a group of artists and volunteers seeking to raise awareness for the current refugee crisis. However, it has become clear that raising awareness is not enough. The world is already aware. Our intent is to create a space for you to stop and come face to face with individual refugees, a space for a conversation to begin. We hope to displace fear with consideration, misconception with understanding, and indifference with compassion. Our purpose is to create a shared realization that Their Story is Our Story. We give individual refugees voice through social media, art, exhibits, and publications, thus empowering them to share their experiences, their feelings, and their hopes on a worldwide platform. We throw light on those whose lives have been enriched while helping refugees during their displacement, and focus on the common dividends of their efforts.
