Our mission - Effectively administer traffic safety grants that deliver innovative programs and eliminate traffic fatalities and injuries on California roadways. Through thoughtful, forward-thinking, and data-driven selection of grants to local and state agencies, the OTS provides an effective means of addressing our most significant traffic safety issues and implementing countermeasures that drive the necessary behavior change to make roads safer.
