Clair Obscur developed and promoted an innovative new projection technology that deals with the visible inside the invisible. The special projectors are projecting white light, in which visual contents are hidden, invisible to the human eye. Only when viewed through a special optical filter, the image can be perceived by the viewer. This offers a smart way to add, expand or collapse layers of information. The project was part of several relevant arts and design exhibitions. Clair Obscur was awarded with the prestigious DMY New Talent Award for design and an Exist start-up grand of the German government. The team behind Clair Obscur founded "fuw – advanced design" in 2016, keeping Clair Obscur as a special project in their portfolio.
