DFW Play is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater organization working at the intersection of art, community and social justice. We make live art to excite, enliven and entertain. We bring story focused, devised style and ensemble driven unique ethnic perspective to build up performing arts pieces. We have produced original plays and arts events in multilingual form, toured locally in Texas and across the US. Our Youth Theater wing is empowered to create original works to highlight important social issues they are dealing with as second generation immigrants. Keeping quality, inclusion and education as our pillars, we are advancing the cultural integration of immigrant communities while preserving ethnic heritage. We believe that young people will change the world for the better and we aim to empower young minds and invest in them to be confident, curious, and creative through performing arts and community involvement. We believe in 'acts that matter' and do our best to live up to our credo. We do fundraise at times to extend a helping hand to the fellow humans in need whether during a natural disaster or pandemic or regular times. After all, in the end, only kindness matters. For us, art is not just a thing, it's a way of life.
