We believe a disparity between supply and demand emerges because India does not have many developers who possess all the essential elements required to deliver affordable housing- capital, local relationships and technical competence, and we are working to correct this imbalance. Frontline developers tend to lack the organizational DNA required to deliver high volumes at low margins. The small one or two project developers fail to come up with right product for end-users. Local developers generally have limited access to capital for investment in lands and completing the construction which alone can offer ready to live houses.
