Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality, International Conference & LAB
www.heritagetourismhospitality.orgThe Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality, International Conference and LAB focus on the question: "How can tourism destinations succeed in attracting tourists while simultaneously engaging all stakeholders in contributing to the preservation of natural and cultural heritage?". HTHIC invites researchers, practitioners, business owners and policymakers to share knowledge and experience on aspects of preservation, (re-)presentation, promotion, profit (in the sense of benefits for all involved). Paying attention to each and all of these four pillars is required to preserve heritage thanks to and despite tourism and to realise our purpose and fifth pillar: the co-creation of thriving places and tourism destinations. The conference seeks to advance our knowledge of the dynamics between heritage, tourism and well-being by bridging theory and practice and fostering a holistic approach. The HTHIC spin-off Heritage & Slow TourismLAB explores the varying meanings and practices of Slow. See for more information: www.heritagetourismhospitality.org, www.slowtourismlab.org.
