Mission Statement To be industry leaders in the creation of a positive culture shift within the construction industry that results in significant reductions in human, social and economic loss as a result of work related accidents,injuries and death. Mandate To provide proactive safety and safety-related programs and services to the construction industry, this will contribute to a safer work place and a healthy and profitable economy. This will be done through efforts which facilitate compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workers Compensation Act and their regulations; increase the regional competitiveness of construction industry firms; and enhance the mobility of construction industry workers. Further, to work with regulatory bodies and the construction industry to develop and/or revise legislation or regulations affecting the safety of the industry.
