Signal works Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin and four countries in Africa to improve the lives of people living with hearing loss, tinnitus and the profoundly Deaf. We work to end the isolation, discrimination and stigma of this hidden disability by improving the life chances of people with hearing impairments. We do this by enabling people with hearing loss to access services and support, and by improving their emotional and physical well being. In Africa we work with partners in Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Together we increase awareness and understanding about hearing loss to combat stigma and ensure deaf children and adults achieve equal and inclusive access to education and health care. In the UK Signal's work is focused in Shropshire providing practical help and support to the 64,000 people in the county living with hearing loss, profoundly Deaf British Sign Language Users and those with tinnitus.
