Intercable was founded in 1972 by Herbert Mutschlechner, at that time as a sales representative for electrical products. In 1986 the company started with the production of insulated tools, through the experience acquired in the processing of plastic materials, in the early 90s Intercable began to develop and to produce protection systems for the automotive industry. At that time still as Tier3 the technology enterprise established itself meanwhile to the Tier 1 supplier. With headquarter in Bruneck / South Tyrol and plants in Slovakia and China, Intercable today produces high-voltage components for the e-mobility. The Intercable, together with Intercable Tools, a specialist in manufacturing tools for professionals and connection systems, forms the Intercable Group, a managed family business with 17 subsidiaries in 10 countries and over 1000 employees.
