Brave Little Lungs
www.bravelittlelungs.comThe story of Brave Little Lungs begins in 2011, with Mackenzie Madsen and Henry Unga meeting at Utah's Sundance Resort. Since day one, they knew they were merely two halves of the same whole. In the years that followed, they climbed mountains, scoured thrift stores, mastered Julia Child’s boeuf bourguignon and fell in deep, deep love with one another. Mere weeks after their summer wedding, Mackenzie was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease. And shortly following, Brave Little Lungs was born. Impassioned by the initial goal of spreading lung disease awareness, Brave Little Lungs has since developed into a platform devoted to the support of the broader terminal illness community; raising funding for aide and research, advancing organ donation advocacy, and championing the idea of every person's capacity to effect countless ripples of positive change. But above all else, Mackenzie and Henry's core vision for Brave Little Lungs is nothing more than to bring people together by making every effectual resource and network accessible to those on their terminal illness journey. "You'll take about 25,000 breaths today. It only takes a few of them to do something brave."
