It is this dedication and commitment to high standards of trade by Members, that has made it a prestigious organisation and one of which artistes can feel confident signing to Member agents. The Association currently boasts Member Agents throughout the UK whose business activities cover virtually every field of live entertainment, representing talent and managing artistes bookings throughout the contemporary music industry, television, film, radio, recording, theatre, musicals, cabaret, clubs and pubs, cruising, voiceovers, circus, corporate and outdoor events. We are governed by a National Council of Management, elected by and from our Membership and includes some of the most highly respected and agents in the entertainment industry. They meet once a month to manage business, develop policy and address issues affecting our Members. We ensure that our Members are up to date with their legal trading obligations and this covers areas such as contracts, data protection, industry minimum wages for variety, theatre and touring, PRS, licensing and much more. The external role of the Association within the entertainment industry is highly visible and greatly respected. We are frequently consulted by Government Departments and we represent the best interests of our Members and promote best practice. We work closely with Equity, UK Live Music and the Variety and Light Entertainment Council and we are members of The Trade Association Forum. We have an Affiliate scheme that enables businesses and traders associated with the entertainment industry such as solicitors, sound and lighting companies, photographers etc to join the Association and we encourage networking with our Member agents and affiliates.
