thefuturefuture
www.thefuturefuture.comWe are thefuturefuture. Together we seek to reexamine how and why we do the things we do. As architects we believe that design transcends disciplines. We design with the intent to not simply bring one more thing into the world, but to progress ways of making and develop advancements in customization. More importantly, we design for pleasure. We hope you enjoy the result as much as we love the process. Our inspirations for the current collection are derived from natural processes. Each piece consists of rock like formations, whether solid or stripped to their basic edge geometry. To evolve such forms, we methodically engage in generative processes. Instead of designing a specific form, we design a system whose result is an endless array of distinct creations. There is never a final product, instead the design continues to evolve to allow for mass customization. The final products are 3D printed using a technology known as selective laser sintering (SLS). We offer various colors of nylon (a slightly flexible yet extremely durable plastic) as well as stainless steel (both natural and gold dipped). The process transmits a unique texture leaving the pieces with a natural, rock like quality. All necklaces are assembled in our studio using high quality materials. Our products are designed to be affordable with the belief that custom design is attainable for mass consumption. Brandt Graves + Carrie McKnelly Brooklyn, NY
