RiverTribe Magazine

www.rivertribe.co.uk

An idea doesn't become reality without a plan and a plan needs a trigger. For me the trigger was Brexit. Good or bad, we are leaving the European Union and entering unknown territory. That's when making community the focus of this magazine seemed the right thing to do. Up until then I had envisaged a lifestyle publication full of things that makes us tick in this part of the world. We are a lucky Tribe alongside beautiful green spaces by a historic river which has entranced artists for hundreds of years. I thought about what really counted in an area when we are feeling concerned about the turn in world events; a time when we need to look at the fundamental values of our community. That's when I decided to publish a magazine which, I believe, is really local; a magazine which gets to the heart of the ebb and flow of who we are, how we live and what we value. I wanted to gather some great people living locally and tell their inspirational stories that carry the standard of the RiverTribe. It's not easy. We are a discerning lot and I am not going to pretend that RiverTribe can be all things to all people. We can't; but we can exist, adapt and evolve. This is the way we, and many other close knit communities, develop. I hope you enjoy reading the magazine. If you are interested in becoming part of our Tribe then please do get in touch at [email protected]. Linda Duberley Editor RiverTribe Magazine
