ECM was founded by Edward “Ed” Meier, who started the organization in September of 1988. His vision was to create a truckload provider in the marketplace that would offer high-quality, on-time truckload service at a cost-effective price. ECM TRANSPORT is a full service, 10 terminal, truckload network that provides customers with exceptional performance while allowing for flexibility to meet customers' needs and demands. This customer-centric philosophy has allowed us to explore new opportunities to provide our customers with high-value transportation services. In 2005, ECM TRANSPORT merged with PITT OHIO EXPRESS, a privately owned less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier, in order to meet the LTL demands of customer base. This merger helped both organizations missions to become even more of a customer-centric transportation solutions provider.
