Let us tackle global challenges together! 🌏 We are a team of global professionals and researchers in the fields of environmental science and engineering, sanitary engineering, water quality and waste management. Most of us have worked for several years in vulnerable tropical areas of South Asia, where we realized the difficulty to actually support communities and nature with our knowledge through commercial or research projects. We thus decided to found the non-profit organization ASCEND in order to channel our experiences towards a global sustainable life. ASCEND supports the transition towards a sustainable interaction between societies and environment in vulnerable areas and for fast growing populations. We promote methods and management concepts which empower local citizens and communities, improve ecosystem functionalities and increase resiliencies against disaster risks. We strongly emphasize the development of programs and solutions for vulnerable areas and communities, which are primarily affected by contemporary trends like climate change, urbanization, and production & consumption patterns.
