One of the greatest challenges facing humanity at the moment is how to mitigate the risks of climate change and its disastrous consequences. Consumerism drives demand which in turn drives industry. We believe that positively influencing consumer behaviour will have a direct impact on global greenhouse gas emissions. The CarbonTokenFund has a developed strategy that uses consumer purchasing-power to drive change as well as direct funds towards new high impact projects with the potential for significant carbon reduction. The implementation of government interventions and climate policies are critical but if we are to meet our target of preventing a rise above 1.5ºC, we need to do more. We need a multi-pronged approach, both using top-down and bottom-up approaches. The CarbonToken fund is taking on the challenge, consumer up to meet UNIPCC targets halfway.
